NIDO NIDO CASH GRAB

The lazy half-baked sequel no one was asking for, but you got anyway.

It's Patrick d.'s Nidorina character from his AU comic :V
Patrick d. makes some pretty cool nidos, so I sketched one of them. Deal with it
Looks can be deceiving.
This is my first time trying to create a large scene with several small pixeled characters. There were a lot of little scenarios with various characters I had in mind so I tried to include as many as i could. Because of that, there are some inconsistencies (Nidorino, Nidoqueen, and BKI working in the same building?) But I included them all in anyway just for the sake of having everyone there.
For long time I was wondering how to make this drawing. The relationship of two sisters was new topic for me. I ran with the idea when I walked into the room with a cup of tea, and my older sister wanted to scare me, so she jumped out from behind the door. I scared and spilled a drink on myself. I was angry, but it helped me realize how it may be look like sister-sister relationship :3
When I drew it, I had a lot fun. Subject was not a stranger to me, and I love to draw nidos, because they are small, fatty and extremely charming :).
I was lucky, because Nini is my favorite of the whole Patrick's Nido-family. I'm very happy that art-trade come to fruition! =D
"It may sound strange, but I really love rainbows. Confidentially, I'm going to catch up to one and find its end, and I won't stop chasing after them until I do."
This wasn't meant to be merely a gif I throw up onsite for its own sake, but more like animated fan art, since there's a clear story/explanation behind it. The city is a loose interpretation of downtown Billings, Montana, perhaps the closest urban area to the state park where the Schneiders take residence? It's so small, though, I'm sure Nidorina and Nidoran have complained that it's not a real city. Also, if you look just above Didi's legs, and lessen your focus a little, you'll notice a "wheel of feet" or circular effect.

Probably because I am currently attempting to cover all its songs, I did a crossover with these guys and the game featured here: Cave Story. AKA one of the best indie games ever conceived by a one man team. I highly recommend giving it a look.
Casting:
Rina as the resident doofy-yet-dependable Curly Brace, who I figured would have an affinity to rescue every last unfortunate adorable creature present
Rino as the main lead: "Mr Traveler," who I figured would't pass up the opportunity to be a vid-game protagonist who powers up by collecting what resemble Doritos
Charlotte as resident Team Rocketesque member 1: Misery, who fits as a powerful mage (or mage-like in Lotte's case) and is chained to an extremely powerful arcane artifact. I noticed Lotte also could have also worked as our silent main protagonist; heck, it woulda worked as a sisterly dynamic. :3c
Sentret as resident Team Rocketesque member 2: Balrog, since they have similar childish personalities, and when I saw the ref with Sentret flapping his arms, it sealed the deal for me
and Kine as the game's nefarious antagonist: the Doctor, who I just wanted an excuse to draw the "leering overlooker with Gendo Ikari's glowing glasses"
Story time can certainly be magical! I got to choose the story, so naturally, it had to be a take on The Last Unicorn. The only thing more odd than Sentret and Vulpix's dream itself is the crazy crossovers found in here. In any case, I had fun with this one!
