Valentine's Day 2014
Here we go, have a good Valentines.
Here we go, have a good Valentines.
The grand return of ultra glowy New Years art, sans the Sonic Colors influence for 2011's. Opposite of each current rendition of our girls is the originals in all their debut glory. The name of the work they first appeared in, what they looked like, and the year are all present. Think I've been doing this long enough yet? What's weird is that Wii and Crane Crazy make me feel like "wow, I've been at this for a long time" moreso than 1999's Poke Tales and 2001's Alternate Universe do. Those are more like an establishment akin to Looney Tunes at this point.
Holiday comics are definitely a thing. In fact, now you have four of them. This was the alternative to a much more elaborate picture I wanted to do (couldn't due to the Tumblr December Pokemon a Day thing), but this still took quite a long time. This method is exactly like how I'd want Chibi's Corner to look, which is probably why I like Jirachi's the most by association.
Holiday comics are a thing now, apparently. Also, if you're too old to trick of treat, don't do it.
Meant for the first day of summer, but oh well. Best wishes of a safe and fun summer from Aqua Bunny and some blue girls.
I drafted Needles' body specifically in the form of a baby rabbit (body type compact), or a cartoon one anyway. Also, what makes the Poke Island Pokemon fun to draw is that, regardless of their civilized behavior, they still have the mannerisms of animals (or animal based monsters, rather). It's much different than the AU Pokemon, who are straddling the fence of being human (or Lisa's world, where about 99.9% of the "monster" in them is removed).
It's kind of like the card I bought my mom this year, at least kind of stylistically. Used markers, inking pens, and Photoshop to put it all together.
Talk about taking the minimal approach, but a Valentine's greeting that's fitting for our resident gamer nerd. I decided to go with MOTHER because I can't be bothered with Pokemon's old school sprite style. Also, no one who's older than high school aged is allowed to make any moves on Lisa, sickos.
Consolidation at its best. This is for everyone who feels like they just got settled into the Christmas spirit.
You can tell when the site owner isn't even trying anymore when s/he uses extras from a different series instead of the series proper that the site is based on. First official Halloween art from me. I figured "why the heck not?" I used some Castle Lololo enemies from Kirby's Dream Land specifically because (1) they're easy to draw, (2) they're not really scary, and (3) because technically this series takes place on Popstar anyway. Clockwise from Charlotte: Flapper, Broom Hatter, a fairly large Mr. P. Umpkin, and Skuller. I had another idea of Charlotte stirring Kine in a cauldron while DRJOE's Misdreavus floats overhead like a familiar, but it wasn't dynamic enough for my tastes.
