From the 4koma by Takahiro Yamashita.
"The love that you've given to everyone, to the world we live in, shall not go unnoticed. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you. Happy Mother's Day."
Even fictional characters deserve appreciation, too.
A sort of spiritual successor of last year's Valentine's Cards. However, the trick this time was to not make up phrases based on a few characters, but to find and use legitimate phrases you can find on REAL CANDY, and make sure a character fits it, so it's slightly less gimmicky. And again, all these phrases can be found on real conversational hearts, even if the phrase is now discontinued or they didn't come from the Brach's/NECCO brand (some of them are from Bittersweets Conversational Hearts, for example).
I decided to dust off the old cast from Chibi's Corner (here's a refresher). There are characters I didn't include, sure, but that's irrelevant. I did, however, make sure to leave names this time.
Holiday comics are definitely a thing. In fact, now you have four of them. This was the alternative to a much more elaborate picture I wanted to do (couldn't due to the Tumblr December Pokemon a Day thing), but this still took quite a long time. This method is exactly like how I'd want Chibi's Corner to look, which is probably why I like Jirachi's the most by association.
Man, it's like everyone in the Poke Forest has a really poor grasp of time. Be sure to take time to appreciate the present time, and not get so wrapped up in your work!
The denizens of the Poke Forest are a close bunch. They all know Nidorina can't sing, but they all encourage her anyway. Such a wonderful group of friends! Well, her kids just want to die, but you know how it is. As long as you're having a good time. The song I was thinking of when drawing this was Addictive Love by Bebe and Cece Winans (it's an old early 90's song), despite neither character sounding like them. I also like drawing exaggerated pics, but you knew this.
Man that's a lot of tags
