The Bacterians are getting desperate. Or maybe it's Nidoran's Riding Viper? The designs and coloring have inspirations from Salamander/Gradius II's Tetran, the cleaner Otomedius Tetran with coloring inspiration, pallete inspiration as well as the orb tentacles from Salamader 2's Tenny Rop, and some added weirdness ala Viva Core from Parodius. The name Tetoran is just how Tetran is spoken in Japanese, but comes mostly from the Gradius V soundtrack listing. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, you should leave this site and pick up any game related to Gradius. They're ALL far more entertaining than Pokemon.

Are you familiar with Beach boys music? As a child, I was convinced that the lyrics to one of their songs were "Ran Ran Nidoran, I Nidoran." Shows what a one-track mind I had back then... and still do, to a degree. ^^;
