So Cold
It's really cold here these days. Actually, it feels like colder than December.
(FYI, grass is weak to ice. :) )

A nice sunny day, a grassy knoll, just right for foraging. Two bunnies cross paths; Pincone Nidoran, meet Carmela!
Meet might not be quite the word - I'm not sure if he'd be in any state to introduce himself. He was always quick to notice a nice looking girl, but Carmela is... well, slightly atypical of the other femmes he's come across, and I think he likes it (as you can tell by the all-out Anime-esque nosebleed he seems to have developed. Someone hand the brown bunny a warm wash cloth?).
Just to clear up any confusion - Pinecone is coloured brown because his grandfather and parents are all Furret. He takes after his Grandmother, Achikochi, who was a Nidorina.
I did a thing. Whoops.
Carmela, Angelina, Maribel and Raquelle in sprite form!
Oy. Get up off me silly girl. The overzealous Lilia's way too enthusiastic about being in a rescue team, Carmela has no idea what she's getting herself into, and Daniel, well, let's face it. If you turned into a Pokemon, the last thing you'd want to do is start working a job. They'll never beat Team Go-Getters at this rate.
Heh, I must've gone to town with the Carmela series, because looking back at this stuff I seriously decided to add some kind of flair, even for a bare minimum sketch like this. Sketchy though it may be, I still think it's nifty, so it stays on site.
Pictured, clockwise from the bottom is Carmela, Angelina, Raquelle and Maribel. There used to be some kind of backstory to the characters for this image. I'll reserve it for either a better picture or for people to read about some other way. I'll give you the first paragraph, though:
Despite being full of small Pokemon, Thunderwave Cave is quite dangerous considering all the unruly Pokemon (exploding Voltorb nonwithstanding) that live there. These girls don't actually live in the cave, rather in areas nearby, but they use the cave as a place to hang out, or hang low if any of them is in serious trouble. They refer to themselves as Las Cholas de la Cueva.
Guess what I found on my Yellow! Just kidding! I finally thought of some kind of art I could do on MSPaint, spriting!
Carmela's attacks are: "Cut Choo!", Makeup, Scary Face, and of course, Poison Sting.
Drawn back when I was getting more into anatomy and stuff. I also got tired of drawing in official-esque styles (hint: one of the reasons the Carmela comic became boring to do). I hate restrictions, and being on model at all times. Only money grubbing regimes force that kind of stuff on anybody. Now don't get me wrong, guidelines are fine, I try to keep characters at identifiable and within noticeable silhouettes (in this case, a Nidorina should still LOOK like one), and certain rules should be followed. Being all willy nilly without rhyme or reason is just as bad as being the equivalent of an artistic Stalin.
As an interesting note, this doodle would set the standard of how Carmela should appear henceforth. Sure, adding clothes puts her on that fence of being a morph which I don't like, but it couldn't be more fitting for her character so it stays. Plus, without the clothes she'd look like any other Nidorina so it's all good.
Phooo... trade with Patrick of his Epsilon Team; starring Carmela! This was incredibly fun, and challenging. I hope you enjoy. I used a photo-ref (obviously), but I tried to make it my own at the same time. :3 Enjoy!
