This is my favorite of this grouping of comics, because it's the most like Poke Tales/Legends. The comic is mostly about Beedrill, Nidorina and Needles are just in it, and the whole "a story for every Pokemon" was the point of the series, afterall. Nidorina couldn't be in more character, here. I also like the shot of the Green Town street. It's minimal, but it shows that this advanced world belongs to these Pokemon.

During my mission to collect all kinds of tutorials to try out for no other reason than to expand my skillset, I've come across many that were less than helpful. This short bit is essentially a "comic imitates life" work. I remember seeing one that didn't tell you how anything was done at all. It was basically sketch, flat color, draw over your lines, and finished, and this was for a very detailed comic style human, so the jump is drastic. With people being way, way harder to draw than animals (arguably, I've seen plenty of art where the animals look tacked on and derpy (and some with Pokemon, even, and they have cheats!) but the humans are really solid), I'd think you wouldn't want to skip the steps between 3 and "4". Anyway, yeah, saying "add details" tells nobody anything. With what? The power of positive thinking? That all being said, there's still plenty of good tutorials, I just thought this was a funny observation.

Seems like I only do one of these a year. Is it time for a character Tumblr yet? These would really fit, the characters telling you about themselves and being reflective with humor and whatnot.

I guess the lesson here is don't usurp someone else's livelihood, especially if that livelihood is what makes them stand out.

Well, I think the embargo on spoilers for Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon are lifted, especially being 2 more generations out now (as of the time of this post), so let's just say it's an Alternate Universe thing what with Kirby getting involved with fighting Dark Matter. You can look the rest up.

The characters here are based on the "starters" I got, but unlike Carmela, I'm not attempting to do anything with these guys, so enjoy the one off.
