Some Video Classics for Valentine's Day
No reason to be emo if you keep your Valentine's minimalist!
More after the jump!
Fan Films now has a few videos on it to keep the page from being empty. Everything's uploaded oldest to newest, so if you haven't seen some old favorites before, now might be a good time to check it out.
First you have this collection of literal flipbook animations I've made many years ago. The bubble animations weren't on the previous version of the site, so it's nice to have something a little new, even if it's actually very old!
Then there's this adorable animation by Tommy Chan, which looking back at it now, has a very Dumb Big Sister kind of feel to it (it looks like Nini and maybe... Oni?). This has always been a favorite of mine, perhaps because it's one of the few Nido animations I didn't have to make? Who can say! But I really enjoy the character designs and bouncy animation.
And finally, what's a Valentine's Day season update without Minimalist Valentines? If there's one thing that hasn't changed over the years, it's that Mrs. Nidorina only ever wants to cling on to her husband. I remember being quite proud of this one back in the day. What can I say? At least something got finished! It was probably my first dive into the vintage-modern stylized animation, too.
